2021's siren song 🎶

What it's feeling like to create clarity for myself right now

I’ve decided that putting together the words for a program or service is like writing a symphony.

I’ve never written a symphony, but I’ve always imaged that it requires the composer to be attuned to each of the sounds that each instrument must play. So many melodies and notes from every instrument coming together to make one cohesive, compelling piece.

That’s how I’m feeling right now as I put together the words for my work and my offers. So many themes and concepts moving about, not yet a cohesive, compelling piece.

2021 has been singing a siren song for me - calling me to more clearly and deeply share who I am and what I’m here to bring forth.

As I sit here with concepts, themes and values written on note card after note card, I’m struck by their connections and their individuality.

Each one holds its own tone and yet it pairs neatly with all the others.

It seems like a complex, symphony right now, when what I’m feeling for - listening for - is the key melody. That critical combination of notes that hold the whole together, and repeat throughout with gentle variations continually reminiscent of the whole.

Fortunately, the words aren’t jumbled. They are clear. Crystal clear. Only they are all playing at exactly the same time.

It is time to string them out - give them their place in the symphony.

As I do that over the next days, I leave you with this small piece. Right now, it feels like it holds a big element the energy that sits most deeply at the core of me.

I focus action. So it aligns to your heart, guided by your wisdom.

I work with wisdom. To make it tangible, understandable, and applicable.

I give wisdom words and form.
