For the last week I’ve been back and forth with myself about getting a message out to you. The tidal wave of ‘welcome to the new year’ posts and messages out on the interwebs had a strong pull to it but I just didn’t have anything to add that was new or meaningful.
Now I do!
Just know I’ve had you on my mind as I’ve been quietly working these past few weeks. There’s this whole body of work that wants to be revealed and I’m letting it show up in its time. And given that we are moving through a Mars and Mercury Retrograde it feels like perfect alignment to give it space and time.

I have this idea that I can build “The Game of Business for New Earth energy.”
I’ve actually sketched out pieces and considered how I could build a kit that you could download and print to help you map out your business and then play the game of business.
The trick is that it has to morph to meet each person where they are because, unlike traditional business, there are no set rules to my Game of Business.
I have these elements I’m trying to work in that have to do with how to stay in alignment and how to make aligned decisions. And I’m also trying to see if I can create a matrix to help you make a call on the best way to show up for yourself, even as everyone feels the need to be drawn into social networks.
The whole point of the game is to set up the framework for our human, physical self so that we could get ourselves to relax into all of it and then allow New Earth energies to flow through us to create expanded possibilities.
New Earth energies are already working through and around us all the time, but we are not working with them intentionally or well. But what if we could do it with intention? Everything would unfold in continuous synchronicities. THAT is what I’m aiming for this year.
Right in the middle of my work on this, someone in my Soar Mentorship posed this question:
I’m just noticing so much stuck energies around just showing up with these things. (Think posting and sharing on social and on email.)
I want to shine this year.
What do I need to do to expand my comfort zone so that I can step forward and be more seen in this work, and in these ways of working and showing up in the world? What is this hitch about?"
THIS is exactly what I’ve been working on!
There’s something we never hear about out there when people are giving guidance for growing your business.
All business requires intimacy.
There’s this assumption that business is a thing and not personal. But that’s just not true.
When you offer a service, it’s all about intimacy. And it’s all about degrees.
A curated and deeply researched newsletter like The Marginalian (formerly Brain Pickings), has settled on a degree of intimacy and boundaries that is quite different than 1:1 intuitive, spiritual guidance offered by a Jewish, Feminist, Queer, Kohenet Hebrew Priestess.
When you write a newsletter and make that your business, you are making choices about the degree and style of intimacy you are allowing in your business. In this example, there’s a distance between the offer and the person offering it.
When you offer a deeply personal service like Annie Matan does with her spiritual guidance, she’s offering and inviting deep intimacy with her personally.
Why is this awareness of intimacy important?
Because knowing your intimacy levels will help you know how to set up many other aspects of your business.
If the work you offer is deeply intimate work, then you would want to create a flow in your business that supports people who just met you to develop that intimacy with you.
It would also mean that the way you share publicly might have stages of depth and could involve some smaller containers rather than sharing to the masses on Instagram or YouTube where it could feel vulnerable and hard.
This is where we can get creative and intentional!
